Baptismal Remembrance
A Chrismon is given to a child to commemorate this very important day in his or her life. The eight-pointed star of the Chrismon symbolizes Baptism or Regeneration. The empty cross in the center represents the completed work of our Risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ - His perfect life, sacrificial death and victorious resurrection. The circle around the cross represents Eternal Life, which we receive through faith in Him. In and through the miracle of Baptism, the Holy Spirit produced saving faith in each of us, thereby receiving the gift of Eternal Life. May He who has begun a good work bring it to completion!
