Admission to Our Savior Lutheran School
Our Savior Lutheran School has been offering a Christ-centered education for more than 55 years. Our current school, now located on East St. Joe Highway in Lansing’s west side, serves over 220 students in our new building.
The strength of OSL rests in the teaching staff working closely with parents on behalf of the students. This partnership between home, church, and school is what sets us apart from public and other parochial schools. We offer a rigorous academic program with Christ-centered instruction with an emphasis on a Biblical world view. We hold accreditation with NLSA (National Lutheran School Accreditation), the state of Michigan, and with MANS (Michigan Association of Non-Public Schools).
2012-2013 school year tuition for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade is $4850 for community members and $2850 for members of Our Savior Lutheran Church. This includes book, technology and PE fees. Preschool tuition is $1300 and Pre-Kindergarten tuition is $1800.
We are well aware of the difficulties and sacrifices that many parents experience in providing a Lutheran education for their child at OSL. To make sure no one desiring a Lutheran education at Our Savior is denied, we can assist parents with tuition reductions for qualifying families. This past year we awarded over $150,000 in tuition reductions. We use an outside company to evaluate the tuition reduction applications and parents must apply in order to receive a reduction.

Enrollment for 2012-2013 begins on February 3. All returning students, their siblings, and congregation members may begin enrollment on that date. On February 21 we will start accepting applications from the community. From February 1 through February 21 enrollment is first come first enrolled until classes are filled. Any openings after February 21 will be filled first come first enrolled from either returning students or new applicants.
The enrollment fee is $100 for new applicants. This fee is not part of tuition and does not count toward tuition. It is a separate fee to cover the cost of enrolling your child.
