First Grade
As first grade students settle into the routine of full-day sessions, they are integrated more fully into the activities of the older school children as well. For example, they have expanded math, literature and social studies, participate in the Accelerated Reader program, and, if needed, participate in morning and afternoon latchkey with older students.

Homework Expectations
Students will study their memory work and spelling throughout the week. A story will be assigned for reading each day, as well as Math homework each night. They are also encouraged to do additional reading as part of the Accelerated Reader program.
Assessments
Students complete the Stanford Achievement Test (SAT), as well as tests in subject areas.
